Oil, brakes, headlights, and batteries
Five services, brought to your house: oil change, brake inspection, brake job, headlight restoration, and battery replacement. If something else comes up while we are there, we will tell you what we see.
Most requested
Oil change
$110-$145
$70 labor, plus oil and filter. Depends on the car.
Quoted for trucks that take more oil.
Oil and filter are extra. The $70 is labor only. Most cars and half-ton trucks land around $110-$145. Trucks that take more oil (about 8 quarts or more) are quoted before the visit.
Brake job
$340-$400 / axle
$175 labor, plus pads and rotors. Depends on the car. If the rotors are still good, you only pay for pads. If you can wait for parts, it can come in under $300.
Brake inspection
$20
We check your pads, rotors, and related brake parts on the car and tell you what we find. If you choose Ascent Auto Care for the repair, your $20 inspection fee will be applied toward the cost of your brake service.
Headlight restoration
$75 both lights
Sand, polish, and ceramic-seal yellowed lenses in the driveway. Most cars take about 30 to 45 minutes.
Battery replacement
$180–$280
$50 labor, plus the battery. Depends on the car. Most cars land in that range. We test the charging system before we sell a battery.
That is the full list for now. If we see something else, including brakes that need more than pads, we say so before we start.
